Estimate Your US Company Setup and Renewal Costs
Pick a company type, a state and the services you want. You'll see your first year and every year after, with what goes to the state kept apart from what goes to Registate.
Not included in the totals: Silver package, registered agent included.
Fees checked Sept 2026 on DE fee schedule, DE LLC tax. Registate prices are today's prices from our pricing page. See the assumptions below.
The assumptions behind the numbers
Fees checked Sept 2026 on each state's official site. Fees change; the state's own page is the final word.
- 1State fees are for standard processing. Faster state processing is optional, costs extra and is not included.
- 2"Year one" is what's due at formation and in the months after it. "Each year after" is what repeats yearly; a fee due every two years is shown on its own line.
- 3The Registate package renews yearly at today's price and includes registered agent service. See pricing for what each package covers.
- 4A business address is counted as 12 months at its monthly price. The Operating Agreement is counted once.
- 5Minimums only: Wyoming's $60 license tax and Delaware's $175 corporate franchise tax can be higher for larger companies. Texas assumes revenue at or under the no-tax-due threshold.
- 6Corporation filing fees, New York's newspaper publication and other states' corporate taxes are not in our verified data, so they are marked "not included" instead of estimated.
- 7Income tax, tax preparer fees, bank fees and late penalties are not included. This is not tax advice.

How the estimate is built
Every amount belongs to one of these groups, and the calculator keeps them apart the same way your checkout does.
Government fees
Paid to the state. A one-time filing fee, then a yearly tax or report, and in some states a report every two years. The state sets the amount and the due date. Compare states on our state guide.
Registate services
Your formation package, paid at formation and renewed yearly, with registered agent service included. Optional services, such as a business address, are added on their own lines.
Not included
Anything we can't price from a verified source: some corporation fees, New York's newspaper notice, income tax and tax preparers. Each one is named in your estimate instead of guessed.
Year one vs every year after
Formation happens once; the yearly state charge repeats for as long as the company exists. That's why a low filing fee can still mean a high yearly cost. Our US LLC cost guide walks through one scenario.
Cost calculator FAQs
What the estimate includes, what it leaves out and why.
No. It's an estimate built from each state's published fees and Registate's current package prices. Your checkout shows every line, including the state fee, before you pay, and that is the amount you're charged.
The state sets its own fee and it goes to the state. Registate's package is our fee for filing, registered agent service and the dashboard. At checkout they appear as separate lines, so the calculator keeps them apart too.
Because the IRS charges nothing for an EIN. Registate's EIN support is optional paid preparation: we fill in Form SS-4 and submit it for you. Its fee is shown at checkout.
We only show amounts we've checked against official sources. For corporations that is Delaware's annual report fee and minimum franchise tax. Corporation filing fees and other states' corporate taxes are left out of the totals rather than guessed.
No. It covers state fees and Registate services. Federal and state income tax, and a tax preparer's fee for returns such as Form 5472, depend on your situation. A qualified tax professional can tell you what applies.
