Your home address stays off the paperwork
Contracts, vendor forms and your website carry your company's US street address. Not a PO Box, and not the flat you work from.
A US LLC with its EIN, a real US business address and a USD receiving account, set up 100% remotely. Every line of a client's vendor form, filled with company details, not your home address.
Before a US client pays a contractor, its vendor form asks for the same few details. Each layer below is a piece Registate sets up, and the lines of the form it fills.
Wherever you live and work. You own the company; it holds the client relationship.
An LLC or C-Corp formed for you, with its EIN and a registered agent in its state. Form it online.
A real US street address, not a PO Box, with a signed office lease for KYC. Mail is scanned, forwarded or shredded. See the address.
US account details in your company's name. We guide your Payoneer application; Payoneer decides. How it works.
They onboard a US company, file its details and pay it like any other vendor.
The tax form line (W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E or W-9) you complete yourself with your company details. Which one depends on how your LLC is taxed, so confirm it with a tax professional.
What changes once your remote work runs through your own US company.
Contracts, vendor forms and your website carry your company's US street address. Not a PO Box, and not the flat you work from.
Banks and payment platforms rarely accept a registered agent address. A signed office lease gives them the document; they still make the call.
Annual reports and franchise tax show up in your dashboard with reminders, so client work never pushes a filing past its date.
Three steps, all online, from wherever you work.
Pick a name and state. We file it, appoint your registered agent and apply for the EIN. Starts with $0 formation.
A real US street address with mail handling. Need proof of address? The signed lease typically follows in 24-48 hours.
Fill in vendor forms with company details and receive USD in the company's name. Official mail waits in your dashboard.
A company helps when you contract. It does not decide whether you are an employee or a contractor; your contract and local law do.
You invoice one or more US clients as an independent contractor
A client or platform wants to pay a business, not a person
You want your home address off contracts and your website
A bank or payment platform asks for a US address document
Your employer pays you through payroll or an employer of record
You only want somewhere to receive personal letters
You need tax or employment-status advice: ask a qualified adviser
You have no US clients, platforms or accounts to deal with
Just need a US mailing address? A virtual mailbox on its own may be enough. Only need a KYC document? See the office lease for proof of address.
Contracting with US clients from abroad: company, tax forms, address, payments and mail.
Not always. Many remote contractors invoice US clients as individuals. Your own US LLC helps when a client wants to contract with a company rather than a person, when you work for several clients and want one business identity for all of them, or when a payment platform or marketplace asks for business details. It gives you a legal business name, an EIN, a US business address and a place for official mail, all separate from you personally.
Yes. Registate forms your LLC or C-Corp 100% remotely, gets your EIN and does not require an SSN. Your company gets a registered agent in its formation state, and you can add a real US business address and virtual mailbox so client paperwork and official mail have somewhere to go. You track formation, EIN and lease delivery from one dashboard.
It depends on who is being paid and how your company is taxed. Under the IRS instructions, foreign individuals use Form W-8BEN, foreign entities use Form W-8BEN-E and US persons use Form W-9. A single-member US LLC owned by a non-US person is often a disregarded entity, and the IRS instructions say the foreign individual owner then completes the W-8BEN in their own name. If your LLC is taxed differently, the answer changes. Registate does not give tax advice, so confirm the right form with a tax professional before you send it.
No. The IRS instructions for Form W-8BEN say the permanent residence address must not be a post office box, a financial institution's address or an address used solely for mailing. That line is for where you actually live and are tax resident. The form has a separate mailing address line, and vendor forms usually ask for your company's business address separately, which is where your US business address belongs.
Your company's business address. With Registate that is a real US street address, not a PO Box, so you can keep your home address off contracts, invoices, vendor forms and your website. Mail that arrives there appears in your online mailbox, and you choose what to scan, forward or shred.
A registered agent address is for legal notices. Banks and platforms usually do not accept it as your company's principal place of business for KYC. For proof of address, Registate offers a signed commercial lease for a real office building in Delaware, typically generated and signed within 24-48 hours of receiving your company details. It gives you the document verification asks for, but the bank or platform still makes its own decision.
Clients usually pay a US account by ACH or wire, so you need a way to receive USD in your company's name. Payoneer, for example, gives you receiving accounts with US details such as routing and account numbers; it is a payments platform, not a bank. As a Payoneer Affiliate Partner, Registate guides your application so your company name and address match your formation documents. You apply in your own name, and Payoneer makes the decision.
You get a notification when a letter or package arrives and see it in your dashboard. From there you request a scan, have it forwarded or shred it. Checks can be deposited into your US bank account for you instead of being posted abroad. As with any US commercial mail service, receiving mail at the address needs a signed USPS Form 1583.
It depends on the state and on how the company is taxed. Most states require an annual report and some charge a franchise tax, and there are federal tax filings on top. Registate's dashboard shows upcoming deadlines such as annual reports and franchise tax and sends reminders, so a filing does not slip while you are busy with client work. For what applies to you, ask a tax professional.
Probably not the company part. If an employer pays you through payroll or an employer of record, you do not need your own LLC to get paid. Whether you are an employee or a contractor depends on your contract and the laws where you work, not on having a company. If you only want a US mailing address and online access to your mail, a virtual mailbox on its own may be enough.
No SSN required. 100% remote.
