How Registate works

From Choosing a Service to Managing Your Business

Pick your company type, state and add-ons, pay once, and send us what each service needs. We check it, file it and keep every step, document and reminder in your panel. The state and the IRS set their own timelines; here is what they are.

  1. Step 5 of 6State, IRS, USPS

The state and the IRS decide

Government offices set their own processing times. These are the published ones.

    • Wyoming paper filing: up to 15 business days
    • EIN by fax: generally within 4 business days
    • EIN by mail: about 4 weeks

Review and pay

You see every choice on one page before you pay. Payment is by card through Stripe, and the state filing fee is listed on its own line. Your order is created as soon as payment is confirmed, and your panel opens.

Send what each service needs

Formation only needs your answers from onboarding. Some services need documents: a proof-of-address lease asks for your formation document, EIN letter and a photo ID; a US mailbox needs a signed USPS Form 1583 and two current IDs, one with a photo. The order shows exactly what to upload.

We check it, then file it

Our team reviews your order and documents before anything is sent. Then the state reviews your formation filing, the IRS assigns your EIN and USPS rules apply to your mailbox. Each order moves through the same five stages, and you can message us inside it.

Real timelines, from the source

Government offices set their own processing times. These come from their official pages, so you can plan around them.

    Registate

We check your order and documents before anything is filed. If something is missing, the order moves to Awaiting Documents and tells you what to send.

Starts once payment is confirmed. How fast it moves depends on how complete your documents are.

  • State filing: Wyoming

    Wyoming Secretary of State

The state reviews and files your Articles of Organization, then your company appears on the public record.

Paper filings: up to 15 business days after receipt. The July 2026 fee schedule lists paid next and same business day review; older form instructions say expedited filing isn't allowed, so confirm with the state.

  • State filing: Delaware

    Delaware Division of Corporations

The state reviews and files your Certificate of Formation or Incorporation.

Standard filings depend on the state's current volume. Paid state options: next business day, same day, 2 hours or 1 hour.

  • EIN without an SSN or ITIN

    IRS

The IRS online application needs an SSN or ITIN, so non-US owners apply with Form SS-4 by fax or mail, after the company is formed.

By fax: generally within 4 business days. By mail: about 4 weeks.

  • US mailbox

USPS rules, checked by the mail center

Before mail can be received for you, USPS Form 1583 is signed in front of the mail center (in person or on a live video call) or before a notary, with two current IDs, one with a photo.

Mail can be received for you once the signed form and IDs are accepted.

  • BOI report

    FinCEN

Companies created in the US and their owners no longer file beneficial ownership reports. Foreign companies registered to do business in the US still do.

Foreign companies registered in the US: within 30 calendar days of the registration taking effect.

    FinCEN BOI

Official times as published in September 2026. Offices can change them, and a filing with errors takes longer. No one can promise a state or IRS decision within a set number of hours.

Who does what, at every step

Some steps are ours, some are yours, and some belong to the government or your bank. Here is the split.

You

  • Choose your company type, state and services
  • Give accurate company and owner details
  • Upload the documents an order asks for, like a photo ID
  • Sign what needs your signature, such as USPS Form 1583 or your lease
  • Apply to banks and payment providers yourself
  • Keep up with your taxes and filings, unless your plan covers them

Registate

  • Check your order and documents before anything is sent
  • Prepare and submit your formation filing
  • Apply for your EIN when you add it
  • Act as your registered agent, included in every formation plan
  • Keep your documents and order history in your panel
  • Send compliance reminders, and file annual reports if your plan includes them

Government and banks

  • The state reviews, approves and publishes your filing
  • The IRS assigns your EIN on its own timeline
  • USPS sets the Form 1583 and ID rules for mail
  • FinCEN decides who reports beneficial ownership
  • Banks make their own account decisions. No one can guarantee approval

After purchase, one panel

Your panel opens as soon as payment is confirmed. Everything that happens next shows up there.

How Registate works: FAQs

Timelines, documents and who is responsible for what, with the official source behind each answer.

It depends on the state. Wyoming processes paper filings within 15 business days of receipt; its July 2026 fee schedule lists paid next and same business day review, though older form instructions say expedited filing isn't allowed, so confirm with the state. Delaware's standard time depends on its volume, and it sells faster state options from next business day down to one hour. We review your order first, then file; the state's review is the part no one else controls.

Yes. The IRS online application needs an SSN or ITIN, so non-US owners apply with Form SS-4 by fax or mail. The IRS says a faxed application is generally answered within 4 business days, and a mailed one in about 4 weeks. Add the EIN during onboarding and we apply for you once your company is formed.

Forming a company only needs your answers during onboarding. Other services ask for more: a proof-of-address lease asks for your formation document, EIN letter and a photo ID (passport or driver's license). A US mailbox needs a signed USPS Form 1583 and two current IDs, one with a photo. Each order lists exactly what to upload.

No. Onboarding, payment, document uploads and order tracking all happen online. USPS allows Form 1583 to be signed in front of the mail center on a live video call, or before a notary.

No, and no one honestly can. Banks and payment providers make their own decisions. We give you the company documents, EIN and address they usually ask for, and you apply with them directly.

Not if your company was created in the US. FinCEN's March 2025 interim final rule, now final, exempts US-created companies and their owners. Foreign companies registered to do business in the US still report within 30 calendar days. Check FinCEN's BOI page for the current rules.

In your panel. Each order moves through Payment Received, Process Started, Awaiting Documents, Final Evaluation and Process Complete, and you can message our team inside it. Your dashboard shows your formation progress and upcoming tasks.

Your documents stay in your panel under Formation Documents, Tax Documents, Annual Reports and Certificates. Your state still expects annual reports and fees. Gold and Platinum plans include compliance reminders, and Platinum also files your annual report.
